The helper was Stecher's first point of the 2024-25 season. He's regained a regular role in the Oilers' bottom four after looking like he was losing out around the start of November. While his playing time has stabilized, his lack of production makes him a non-factor in most fantasy formats. Podkolzin has gotten top-six looks despite his sporadic offense, and he finally rewarded head coach Kris Knoblauch's faith. If Podkolzin can build off of this effort, he'll have appeal in deeper fantasy formats.

Nurse scored a shorthanded goal on four shots and blocked three shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers.
Nurse missed three games after taking a high hit from Ryan Reaves last Saturday versus Toronto. In his return, Nurse led the Oilers with 23:30 of ice time in a blowout win, so it looks like he's fine moving forward. The defenseman has racked up three goals, 10 points, 49 shots on net, 34 hits, 35 blocked shots, 18 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 19 outings in a top-four role this season. His all-around production will benefit fantasy managers who weathered his absence.

Bouchard was questionable to play Saturday, but he suited up for 18:19 of ice time. That's a season-low mark, but it's likely because the Oilers dominated the game, allowing them to take it easy on Bouchard as he manages any potential issues. Skinner stopped 33 of 35 shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers.
Skinner received plenty of goal support, allowing him to overcome allowing two tallies to Artemi Panarin. Skinner has won four of his last six outings, but he's given up at least three goals in four of those contests. He improved to 7-6-2 this season with a 3.23 GAA and an .882 save percentage. The Oilers are off for five days before visiting Utah on Friday and heading to Colorado next Saturday. Expect Skinner and Calvin Pickard to split those starts.
