Oilers' Troy Stecher: Picks up first helper of 2024-25
Stecher notched an assist, two blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers.
The helper was Stecher's first point of the 2024-25 season. He's regained a regular role in the Oilers' bottom four after looking like he was losing out around the start of November. While his playing time has stabilized, his lack of production makes him a non-factor in most fantasy formats. In addition to the helper, Stecher has 17 shots on net, 21 blocked shots, 14 hits, nine PIM and a minus-5 rating over 18 contests.

Henrique helped out on Evan Bouchard's tally in the second period. The 34-year-old Henrique has contributed an assist in three straight games and has five points over his last eight outings. For the season, the veteran center has six points, 35 shots on net, 23 blocked shots, 18 hits and a plus-1 rating over 22 appearances in a third-line role.

Oilers' Kasperi Kapanen: First helper with new team
Kapanen produced an assist and two hits in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers.
Kapanen helped out on the first of Connor McDavid's two tallies in the third period. While he was listed on the top line, Kapanen saw just 11:28 of ice time in his second game as an Oiler -- the team may be trying to see if he can hold a top-six role or if he'll be better suited to bottom-six minutes in the long run. The 28-year-old winger has one goal, one assist, 13 shots on net, 21 hits and a minus-6 rating over 12 appearances between the Blues and the Oilers this season.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Records pair of helpers
Janmark notched two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers.
Janmark set up a Darnell Nurse shorthanded tally in the first period and fed Evan Bouchard for a goal in the middle frame. Over the past eight games, Janmark has racked up seven assists, though he's 10 outings removed from his last goal. The defensive forward is up to 10 points, 12 shots, nine hits, seven blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 22 appearances. Janmark's lack of non-scoring production keeps him off the radar for most fantasy formats, but he's been a decent depth scorer in 2024-25.

Brown is up to seven points, 41 shots on net, 12 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating through 22 appearances. He's mainly been in the bottom six, but he played on the second line Saturday and could stick there for a while after finding some success.

Oilers' Vasily Podkolzin: Finally scores first goal of season
Podkolzin scored a goal and added three hits in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers.
Podkolzin has gotten top-six looks despite his sporadic offense, and he finally rewarded head coach Kris Knoblauch's faith. The winger opened the scoring at 17:34 of the first period, adding a goal to his five assists over 22 outings this season. He's also produced 52 hits, 31 shots on net, 11 PIM and a minus-1 rating. If Podkolzin can build off of this effort, he'll have appeal in deeper fantasy formats.

Oilers' Darnell Nurse: Buries shorthanded goal
Nurse scored a shorthanded goal on four shots and blocked three shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers.
Nurse missed three games after taking a high hit from Ryan Reaves last Saturday versus Toronto. In his return, Nurse led the Oilers with 23:30 of ice time in a blowout win, so it looks like he's fine moving forward. The defenseman has racked up three goals, 10 points, 49 shots on net, 34 hits, 35 blocked shots, 18 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 19 outings in a top-four role this season. His all-around production will benefit fantasy managers who weathered his absence.

Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Two points in blowout win
Bouchard scored a goal on three shots, added an assist and went plus-3 in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers.
Bouchard was questionable to play Saturday, but he suited up for 18:19 of ice time. That's a season-low mark, but it's likely because the Oilers dominated the game, allowing them to take it easy on Bouchard as he manages any potential issues. He has three multi-point efforts over his last seven outings, but he's gone scoreless in the other four games. The 25-year-old blueliner has six goals, nine assists, 59 shots on net, 41 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 22 appearances this campaign.

For the season, the 29-year-old superstar is at 16 goals, 14 helpers, 60 shots on net and a plus-10 rating over 22 appearances. He has a share of the league lead in goals and is one of eight players to reach the 30-point mark.

Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Cruises to win
Skinner stopped 33 of 35 shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers.
Skinner received plenty of goal support, allowing him to overcome allowing two tallies to Artemi Panarin. Skinner has won four of his last six outings, but he's given up at least three goals in four of those contests. He improved to 7-6-2 this season with a 3.23 GAA and an .882 save percentage. The Oilers are off for five days before visiting Utah on Friday and heading to Colorado next Saturday. Expect Skinner and Calvin Pickard to split those starts.

Oilers' Drake Caggiula: Sent down after game
Caggiula was reassigned to AHL Bakersfield following Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers.
The Oilers are juggling injury concerns and are right up against the cap, so Caggiula may be shuttled between levels regularly in the near term. Edmonton's next game is Friday in Utah as the first half of a back-to-back that completes next Saturday in Colorado.

Bouchard (undisclosed) took line rushes in his usual top-pairing spot, indicating he'll play Saturday versus the Rangers, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.
