  • Flames' Daniil Miromanov: Contributes assist

Miromanov logged an assist and two PIM in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Wild.

Miromanov set up a Kevin Rooney tally in the first period. The 27-year-old Miromanov continues to see top-four minutes, and he hasn't been scratched in November after sitting out twice in October. For the season, the defenseman has four points, 23 shots on net, 28 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating, but he hasn't been able to unseat MacKenzie Weegar or Rasmus Andersson for power-play time on a regular basis.

  • Flames' Justin Kirkland: Nabs helper Saturday

Kirkland provided an assist in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Wild.

Kirkland also had one of the Flames' two shootout tallies. The 28-year-old fourth-liner has three points over his last eight appearances while holding down a steady spot in the lineup. He's at two goals, eight assists, nine shots on net, 41 hits, 16 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating across 18 outings overall. Kirkland has limited fantasy value outside of deep banger leagues, but he's played well enough to be a key part of the Flames' on-ice success.

  • Flames' Kevin Rooney: Rare goal in shootout victoy

Rooney scored a goal in a 4-3 shootout win over the Wild on Saturday.

Rooney put the Flames up 1-0 at the 15:00 mark of the first period with a great tip over Filip Gustavsson's right pad. The 31-year-old Rooney has two goals in 13 games this season in a fourth-line role. He has played 273 NHL games for the Devils, Rangers and Flames over nine seasons. He has no fantasy merit, but he's living his dream.

  • Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Goals in back-to-back games

Sharangovich scored a power-play goal Saturday in a 4-3 shootout win over Minnesota.

Last year's 31-goal scorer has had a rough start to 2024-25, but he has collected two goals, three points and 11 shots in his past two games. Both of his markers have come on the power play. Sharangovich needs this little run to be a fresh start -- he has just four goals and one assist in 14 games this season.

  • Flames' Martin Pospisil: Snaps 19-game goal drought

Pospisil scored a goal Saturday in a 4-3 shootout win over the Wild.

Pospisil put the Flames up 2-1 on the power play late in the second period when he redirected Nazem Kadri's slap pass past Filip Gustavsson's outstretched pad. The 25-year-old Pospisil ended his 19-game goal drought with his second tally of 2024-25. It's been a productive week for him, as he also snapped a 15-game point slump with an assist in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Islanders. Pospisil isn't as good as his three-game, five-point streak to start the season, but he's not as bad as his recent struggles. Wait to see what Pospisil can do over the next week before considering him as a waiver-wire option.

  • Flames' Dan Vladar: Gets fourth win of season

Vladar made 20 saves Saturday in a 4-3 shootout win over Minnesota.

Vladar bent but didn't break in the third period when the Wild turned up the heat and scored twice in a span of 3:25 to force overtime. Minnesota is tied for third in the NHL with 30 third-period goals this season. Vladar shut the door in overtime and the shootout to earn his fourth win of 2024-25. Dustin Wolf has had the hot hand in the Flames net of late, so this was a strong performance for Vladar to prove they can still share the crease. Whether that happens or not is still to be determined.

  • Flames' Dan Vladar: Expected to start

Vladar will start in Calgary's home game against Minnesota on Saturday, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

In his last start, Vladar stopped 29 of 32 shots in a 3-1 loss to Vancouver on Nov. 12. He has a 3-4-2 record, 2.65 GAA and .906 save percentage through nine outings in 2024-25. Minnesota has a fantastic 13-3-3 record and ranks seventh in the league with 3.47 goals per game. The Wild will be a challenging opponent for Vladar and the Flames despite the absence of Kirill Kaprizov (lower body).

  • Flames' Jonathan Huberdeau: Supplies 500th career assist

Huberdeau notched an assist and three shots on goal in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Rangers.

Huberdeau ended a three-game slump when he set up Connor Zary for the game-winning goal. The helper was the 500th of Huberdeau's career, a milestone he reached in his 851st outing. The winger is up to six goals, five assists, 31 shots on net, 17 blocked shots, 14 hits and a minus-3 rating over 20 contests this season.

  • Flames' MacKenzie Weegar: Distributes three assists

Weegar logged three assists, seven shots on goal, four hits and three blocked shots in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Rangers.

One of the helpers came on the power play. Weegar has racked up six assists, including two on the power play, over his last seven contests. The 30-year-old defenseman continues to be a strong source of category coverage in fantasy with three goals, eight assists, 56 shots on net, 51 hits, 48 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 20 appearances. He'll likely fall short of last year's 20-goal, 52-point season, but a 40-point campaign is very much within reason.

  • Flames' Connor Zary: Deposits game-winner

Zary scored a goal on five shots in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Rangers.

Zary has struggled to find consistent offense with just two tallies over his last 12 outings. The Flames shuffled their lines and had the 23-year-old between Jonathan Huberdeau and Blake Coleman for this game. Zary is now at four goals, nine points, 45 shots, 13 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 20 appearances. Fantasy managers in redraft formats should keep an eye on where he's lining up, but he's won't be a must-have player until he contribute more regularly.

  • Flames' Matthew Coronato: One of each in win

Coronato scored a goal on four shots and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Rangers.

Coronato had been held off the scoresheet in the three previous games, though the Flames scored just five times in that span. He broke the drought with a first-period tally and added a helper on Yegor Sharangovich's goal in the second. Coronato is fitting right in for the Flames, earning six goals and nine points over 15 appearances, matching his point total from 34 outings in 2023-24. He's added 31 shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-8 rating while filling a middle-six role.

  • Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Two points in 300th career game

Sharangovich scored a power-play goal on four shots and added an assist in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Rangers.

Sharangovich was involved in the Flames' first two goals, including scoring at 8:29 of the second period. This was his 300th career appearance, and he's accumulated 169 points. He's off to a slow start in 2024-25, though part of that can be explained by a lower-body injury that cost him the first two weeks of the season. Sharangovich has three goals, one assist, 35 shots on net and a minus-6 rating over 13 appearances while seeing playing time in all situations.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Overcomes brief lapse in win

Wolf allowed two goals on 29 shots in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Rangers.

The Flames dominated the pace of play, but the game was tied at 2-2 at the second intermission after Wolf let in a pair of goals 16 seconds apart. Connor Zary saved the day in the third period with the game-winning goal, allowing Wolf to pick up his fourth straight win -- a span in which he's given up just four goals on 116 shots. The crease looks to be his as long as he keeps winning. Wolf is 8-2-1 with a 2.33 GAA and a .926 save percentage through 11 starts. The Flames' next game is Saturday at home versus the Wild.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Starting at home Thursday

Wolf will be between the home pipes for Thursday's game against the Rangers, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Wolf will tend the twine for the fourth time in the Flames' last five games. Over his last three starts, he's gone 3-0-0 with a 0.65 GAA and .977 save percentage, and he recorded his first shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over Nashville last Friday. The Rangers rank fifth in the NHL with 3.59 goals per game, but Wolf has certainly been on a hot streak lately.

  • Flames' Brayden Pachal: Light on offense, still playing

Pachal was held off the scoresheet for the 18th straight game in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Islanders.

Pachal earned a helper Opening Night versus the Canucks, but he hasn't gotten on the scoresheet since. The 25-year-old defenseman also hasn't been scratched, doing an excellent job of keeping Tyson Barrie and Joel Hanley in limited roles. Pachal may be lacking in offense, but he has 50 hits, 25 blocked shots, 17 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 19 outings, so he's still contributing in the non-scoring areas.
