Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Helps out on power play
Werenski notched a power-play assist, three shots on goal, four blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Hurricanes.
Werenski helped out on a Dmitri Voronkov tally in the second period. While it wasn't a repeat effort of his five-point game from Thursday, Werenski has now gotten on the scoresheet in five straight contests (three goals, seven assists). The 27-year-old defenseman is operating at a point-per-game pace with six tallies and 14 assists through 20 outings, and eight of his points have come on the power play. He's added a plus-4 rating, 76 shots on net and 32 blocked shots. He just has to keep the injury bug at bay -- doing so will likely result in him resetting his career high in points for the second year in a row, with 57 being the mark to beat.

Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Sets up equalizer
Monahan notched an assist, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Hurricanes.
Monahan set up Kirill Marchenko's goal to tie the game with 1:06 left in regulation. In the shootout, Monahan had the lone tally to complete the Blue Jackets' comeback for the team's third straight win. The center has a goal and eight assists over his last five contests. He's up to seven goals, 13 helpers, 58 shots on net and a plus-8 rating through 20 appearances in a top-line role.

Blue Jackets' Kent Johnson: Two assists in shootout win
Johnson provided two assists, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Hurricanes.
Johnson's first helper was on a Dmitri Voronkov power-play tally, and he also assisted on Kirill Marchenko's game-tying goal in the third period. With two goals and two assists over two contests since his return from a shoulder injury, Johnson is locked in. What's better is that he's seeing time in all situations. The 22-year-old is up to nine points (four on the power play, two shorthanded), 10 shots on net and a minus-1 rating through six appearances. He's got the skill to take the Blue Jackets' offense to the next level.

Blue Jackets' Dante Fabbro: Pots goal Saturday
Fabbro scored a goal, blocked three shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Hurricanes.
Fabbro is up to two goals and two assists over six appearances since the Blue Jackets claimed him off waivers from the Predators. The 26-year-old defenseman has been able to hold a top-four role in Columbus after being a frequent scratch in Nashville. Those four points account for all of his offense through 12 outings this season, and he's added 17 shots on net, 10 hits, 17 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating. Fabbro has at least short-term appeal in fantasy, especially with a fairly favorable run of opponents over the next 10 days (Montreal, Chicago and Calgary twice).

Blue Jackets' Dmitri Voronkov: Nets power-play marker
Voronkov scored a power-play goal on three shots, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Hurricanes.
Voronkov has four goals and two assists over his last five games. He took a little time to settle back in after missing October with an upper-body injury, but he's all the way back now. The Blue Jackets have an interesting composition of forwards, with offense spread across three lines, so Voronkov could be an option in some fantasy formats. He has seven points, 23 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating through 11 appearances.

Blue Jackets' Kirill Marchenko: Tallies twice in shootout win
Marchenko scored two goals on four shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Hurricanes.
Marchenko ended his five-game goal drought with an unassisted goal in the first period. He also sent the game to overtime with a third-period marker. The 24-year-old winger has been consistent and occasionally explosive on offense -- this was his seventh multi-point effort in 20 contests. Marchenko has eight goals, 12 assists, 51 shots on net and a plus-9 rating while filling a top-line role.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Escapes with shootout win
Merzlikins stopped 32 of 36 shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Hurricanes.
Merzlikins let three separate one-goal leads slip away, and Jackson Blake put the Hurricanes ahead 4-3 at 13:23 of the second period. That lead nearly lasted to the finish, but Kirill Marchenko saved the day by tying the game with 1:06 left in regulation. Merzlikins handled the rest, getting through overtime and stopping all three shootout attempts to earn his fourth straight win. In that span, he's been a little shaky with 13 goals allowed. The 30-year-old netminder improved to 6-5-1 with a 3.08 GAA and an .894 save percentage through 12 starts. He's the no-doubt starter for the Blue Jackets right now, and he'll likely get the nod for Wednesday's home game versus the Canadiens.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Facing Hurricanes
Merzlikins will be between the home pipes versus Carolina on Saturday, according to Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.
Merzlikins has won three straight games to boost his record to 5-5-1. The 30-year-old has a 3.02 GAA and an .895 save percentage in 11 appearances this season. He will have a tough matchup versus a Carolina team that ranks third in the league with 3.89 goals per game.

Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Provides pair of assists
Sillinger logged two assists and two blocked shots in Thursday's 7-6 overtime win over the Lightning.
Sillinger set up Yegor Chinakhov on a second-period tally and also fed Zach Werenski for the game-winning goal 1:26 into overtime. While it's a young forward group, the Blue Jackets could roll three scoring lines now that Kent Johnson is healthy again. As such, there's no reason to worry about Sillinger's third-line placement from Thursday -- he led all Columbus forwards with 17:55 of ice time in this contest. The 21-year-old center has four points over his last four games and is up to three goals, nine assists, 41 shots on net, 33 hits and a minus-5 rating over 19 appearances for the season.

Blue Jackets' Kirill Marchenko: Two assists in overtime win
Marchenko notched two assists, including one on the power play, as well as three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 7-6 overtime win over the Lightning.
Marchenko helped out on goals by Kent Johnson and Zach Werenski during a flurry of scoring to begin the second period. The 24-year-old Marchenko has three assists during his current five-game goal drought. For the season, he's been excellent in a top-six role, racking up six goals, 12 helpers, five power-play points, 47 shots on net, 14 hits and a plus-7 rating across 19 appearances. A near-point-per-game pace may be too much to expect, but Marchenko should have no trouble surpassing his 42-point campaign from 2023-24.

Blue Jackets' Yegor Chinakhov: Scores again Thursday
Chinakhov scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 7-6 overtime win over the Lightning.
This was Chinakhov's second game in a row with a goal. He gave the Blue Jackets their first lead of Thursday's chaotic win, and his tally was the fifth of six combined goals between the two teams in a span of 5:50 during the second period. While he's been in a middle-six role lately, Chinakhov has not stopped producing secondary scoring. He's now at six tallies, 13 points, 47 shots on net, 30 hits and a plus-3 rating over 19 appearances this season.

Blue Jackets' Dmitri Voronkov: Earns two points in chaotic win
Voronkov scored a goal on four shots and added an assist in Thursday's 7-6 overtime win over the Lightning.
Voronkov helped lay the foundation for a comeback from an early 3-0 deficit. He set up Sean Monahan for the first Columbus goal, and Monahan returned the favor on the team's next tally early in the second. With three goals and two assists over his last four games, Voronkov is again looking like a player who was able to make an impact in bursts at times in 2023-24. He's earned six points, 20 shots on net and a minus-2 rating over 10 outings this season, though it's his top-six role currently that gives him some appeal in fantasy.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Bends but doesn't break in OT win
Merzlikins made 24 saves in a 7-6 overtime win over Tampa Bay on Thursday.
The Bolts jumped out to a 3-0 lead by the 11:52 mark of the first period, but Merzlikins battened down the proverbial hatches and made a few keys saves to help ignite a Blue Jackets comeback. It wasn't a great ratio night for daily players, but Merzlikins has won three consecutive games. Overall, he's 5-5-1 with a 3.02 GAA, .895 save percentage and one shutout in 11 starts this season.

Blue Jackets' Kent Johnson: Offensive outburst in return
Johnson (shoulder) scored twice Thursday in a 7-6 overtime win over the Lightning. One of the goals came on the power play and the other came shorthanded.
Johnson became the eighth player in Blue Jackets history to score a short-handed and a power-play goal in the same game. He had missed 14 games with his shoulder injury. Johnson is a smart pick-up off the wire, as he has immense talent, and the Blue Jackets are playing well in their last four games. They have three wins and have scored 18 goals in those victories. Anyone with skill who rides shotgun with Adam Fantilli is an important fantasy option.

Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Point-per-game pace so far
Monahan had a goal and three assists in a 7-6 overtime win over the Lightning on Thursday.
Monahan was the first Blue Jacket to hit the scoresheet after the Bolts went up 3-0 early in the first period. Columbus has been a real fit for the pivot, who has seven goals, 19 points and 57 shots in 19 games. Monahan has six points, including five assists, and eight shots in his last two games.

Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Five-point game new career mark
Werenski scored two goals, including the winner in overtime, and added three assists in a 7-6 overtime win over Tampa Bay.
It was a career game for Werenski, who logged 27:22, had eight shots and two blocks, and helped his team come back from an early 3-0 deficit. He's now tied for second among defenders in both goals (six) and points (19) in 19 games. Werenski is on a four-game, nine-point scoring streak (three goals, six assists) and he has a whopping 73 shots. That puts him third in the NHL behind David Pastrnak (87) and Brady Tkachuk (80). At some point, we all need to start talking about how much Werenski has elevated his game. And do it before his name ends up on a Norris Trophy ballot.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Draws home start
Merzlikins will start Thursday's home game against the Lightning, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Merzlikins has been effective across his last two starts, posting a 2-0-0 record, 1.50 GAA and .942 save percentage in games against the Penguins and Bruins. The 30-year-old will attempt to keep his momentum up Thursday but will face a tough test against the Lightning, who rank seventh in the league with 3.53 goals per game.
