Tarasenko notched an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Bruins.
Tarasenko played a season-high 20:03 in the contest and helped out on Lucas Raymond's tally. With five assists over his last six outings, Tarasenko appears to be turning things around after a slow start. He's at eight points, 31 shots on net, 12 hits and a minus-3 rating through 19 appearances.

Red Wings' Alex Lyon: Starting Monday
Lyon will guard the road net Monday against the Islanders, Ted Kulfan of The Detroit News reports.
Lyon will make his second start in three games after starting just once in Detroit's previous eight contests. The 31-year-old Lyon is 3-4-0 on the year with a .908 save percentage and 2.85 GAA.

Red Wings' Tim Gettinger: Lands on waivers
Gettinger (lower body) was activated from the injured non-roster list and placed on waivers Saturday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Gettinger registered 12 goals and 25 points in 55 regular-season games for AHL Grand Rapids in 2023-24. He sustained a lower-body injury during the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs. Gettinger will return to Detroit's top minor-league affiliate if he clears waivers.

Red Wings' Justin Holl: No offense in part-time role
Holl has gone 10 games without a point and was scratched for the sixth time in that span Thursday versus the Islanders.
Holl is in a rotational role on the third pairing, competing with Albert Johansson and Erik Gustafsson for playing time. The 32-year-old Holl has never been one to put up big numbers on offense, topping out at 23 points in 69 games in 2021-22. He has one assist, four shots on net, eight hits, 15 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 12 appearances this season.

Red Wings' Jonatan Berggren: Nets equalizer Thursday
Berggren scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Islanders.
Berggren tallied at 15:14 of the third period to tie the game at 1-1, which allowed Lucas Raymond to play the hero with the game-winner in the final minute of regulation. With three goals over his last five games, Berggren is heating up on offense. He has a total of four points, 34 shots on net and a minus-4 rating through 19 outings this season. Since he's stuck in a fourth-line role, his recent success on offense is unlikely to last barring a move to a better spot in the lineup.

Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Starting Saturday
Talbot will defend the home crease versus Boston on Saturday, according to Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press.
Talbot has struggled slightly in his last two games, allowing eight goals on 74 shots (.894 save percentage). The 37-year-old netminder is 5-3-2 with a 2.67 GAA and a .920 save percentage over 11 appearances in 2024-25. The Bruins are the second-lowest scoring team in the NHL, averaging a paltry 2.33 goals per game.

Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Pots game-winner Thursday
Raymond scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 2-1 victory over the Islanders.
After a heroic effort on the forecheck by Dylan Larkin, Raymond took a backhand feed and went top shelf over Ilya Sorokin's glove with just 52 seconds left in the game. It's the first GWG of the season for the 22-year-old winger, and all three of Raymond's goals on the campaign have come in the last 12 games -- a stretch in which he's racked up 12 points, including seven helpers on the power play.

Red Wings' Alex Lyon: Hangs on for third win
Lyon made 22 saves in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Islanders.
The Red Wings were unable to solve Ilya Sorokin until the final five minutes of the third period, but Lyon kept them in the game until then and got rewarded with the comeback win. It's the first win for the veteran netminder since Oct. 22 after a lower-body injury cost him time in early November, and on the season Lyon is 3-4-0 over eight appearances with a 2.84 GAA and .908 save percentage.

Red Wings' Alex Lyon: Gets starting nod for Thursday
Lyon will be between the pipes for Thursday's home matchup with the Islanders, Daniella Bruce of the Red Wings' official site reports.
Lyon has appeared in just three of the Red Wings' last 11 contests, losing all three games while giving up 15 goals on 95 combined shots (.842 save percentage). Despite his recent struggles, the team will go back to the 31-year-old for Thursday's matchup, which likely means fantasy players can expect to see Cam Talbot between the home pipes against the Bruins on Saturday.

Red Wings' Ben Chiarot: Quiet on offense
Chiarot's scoring drought reached 14 games in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Sharks.
Chiarot is a shutdown defenseman in the Red Wings' top four, but this is a brutal slump even by his standards. He's reached the 20-point mark in two of the last three years and missed by one point in the other campaign in that span. He's opened 2024-25 with two assists, 22 shots on net, 21 PIM, 25 hits, 41 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 18 appearances. Chiarot's not in any obvious danger of being scratched, but he won't be much of a factor in fantasy as long as his offense is cold.

Red Wings' Erik Gustafsson: Ends slump with power-play helper
Gustafsson recorded a power-play assist and two PIM in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Sharks.
Gustafsson put an 11-game slump to rest when he set up Marco Kasper's first-period tally. Gustafsson has played in a majority of games, though he was scratched twice during his dry spell and is far from a lock to play every contest. He has just three helpers with 22 shots on net, 12 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 14 outings. Gustafsson's main value is in power-play production -- he's earned all of his assists with the man advantage -- but he's been limited to the second unit for the better part of the last month, which reduces his opportunities to make an impact.

Red Wings' Simon Edvinsson: Picks up helper in return
Edvinsson recorded an assist and two PIM over 23:14 of ice time in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Sharks.
Edvinsson missed one game due to a lower-body injury but didn't look any worse for wear in his return. He set up Dylan Larkin's first-period tally. Edvinsson has done fairly well for a 21-year-old defenseman, earning two goals, five assists, 23 shots on net, 38 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 17 appearances. He continues to see top-four minutes at even strength, averaging 20:45 of ice time, but he's not a regular part of the power-play mix.

Red Wings' William Lagesson: Returned to AHL
Lagesson was reassigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Tuesday.
Lagesson was a healthy scratch for Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to San Jose because Simon Edvinsson (lower body) returned to the lineup. The 28-year-old Lagesson has two goals and five points in 11 AHL outings this season.
