Rockets' Jabari Smith: Shooting woes in loss Saturday
Smith totaled 14 points (3-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 37 minutes during Saturday's 104-98 loss to the Trail Blazers.
On the surface, Smith had a solid showing and finished just two boards away from a double-double. However, he continues to struggle with his shot. He's made four or fewer field goals in four of his last five games despite averaging 8.4 shot attempts per game in that stretch. Smith has a secondary role in the Rockets' offensive scheme, but his lack of efficiency certainly limits his upside.

Rockets' Fred VanVleet: Ejected late in fourth quarter
VanVleet amassed eight points (4-13 FG, 0-6 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists and one steal over 28 minutes before getting ejected from Saturday's 104-98 loss to the Trail Blazers.
VanVleet had a woeful performance Saturday, missing all six of his three-point attempts, struggling to get into a rhythm offensively and getting ejected in the final seconds of the fourth quarter. Don't be surprised if VanVleet receives some kind of suspension, as he was ejected after making contact with an official and appearing to poke the referee's eye. VanVleet should continue to operate as one of the Rockets' primary options on offense, but there's no doubt he's been struggling with his shot this season, shooting 30.5 percent from deep.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Struggles with shot Saturday
Sengun had 22 points (7-17 FG, 8-11 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals over 36 minutes during Saturday's 104-98 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Sengun had another rough performance Saturday, and he had all sorts of problems dealing with Donovan Clingan's rim protection. Even though the star big man often finds a way to make an impact, and he did in the fourth quarter amid one of the Rockets' scoring runs, Sengun wasn't comfortable dealing with Clingan's defensive presence. Sengun will be in line for another complicated matchup when facing Rudy Gobert and the Timberwolves on Tuesday.

Rockets' Steven Adams: Sitting out against Portland
Adams (knee) is out for Saturday's game versus the Trail Blazers.
Adams will miss Saturday's contest due to it being the second leg of a back-to-back set. Jock Landale will likely once again operate as Houston's backup center to Alperen Sengun. Adams should be able to return to action for Tuesday's matchup with Minnesota.

Brooks led the Rockets in scoring Friday and delivered a season-high mark in scoring while reaching the 20-point mark for the first time in 2024-25. Don't expect Brooks to emerge as one of the Rockets' main offensive options going forward, but he remains valuable in most fantasy formats due to his starting status and ability to make a consistent two-way impact. He's averaging 12.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.7 steals per game in November.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Goes for 22 points Friday
Eason supplied 22 points (8-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals over 22 minutes during Friday's 116-88 victory over Portland.
Eason came close to matching his season-best scoring mark Friday, and the former LSU standout continues to make a huge impact off the bench for the Rockets. This was the eighth time he scored in double digits across his last 10 appearances, and he's averaging 13.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in that stretch.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Fills stat sheet Friday
Thompson posted 10 points (3-8 FG, 4-7 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and three steals over 24 minutes during Friday's 116-88 victory over the Trail Blazers.
Thompson continues to see more than 20 minutes off the bench on a regular basis, and it seems he'll continue to find ways to produce as long as he gets enough playing time. This was his fourth double-double of the season, and fantasy managers will be happy with the two-way contributions Thompson often brings to the table, making him valuable despite his bench role. He's averaging 10.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game over his last five outings off the bench.

Rockets' Cam Whitmore: Sent to G League
Whitmore was assigned to the Rockets' G League affiliate Thursday, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Whitmore has bounced between the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and the Rockets this season while recovering from a lingering knee issue. However, when the Rockets are at full health the second-year forward is not likely to play a significant role in the rotation, and he has averaged 5.9 points and 1.4 rebounds across only 9.9 minutes per game over eight regular-season outings.

During Houston's blistering 11-5 start, VanVleet has averaged 15.8 points, 6.1 assists, 4.4 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 0.4 blocks across 34.7 minutes, and he will continue to lead the charge as the team's primary facilitator moving forward.

Sengun's efficient shooting helped him post a season-high 31 points Wednesday. The 22-year-old center has now tallied 12 double-doubles in 16 appearances in 2024-25. Across his last 10 outings, Sengun is averaging 20.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.7 blocks in 30.1 minutes.

Eason closed Wednesday's 130-113 win over Indiana with 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and six steals across 23 minutes.
Eason was extremely active on defense, as is usually the case, which led to a career-high six swipes Wednesday. He was also efficient offensively despite forcing some tough looks. After seeing fewer than 20 minutes in four of his first five appearances this season, Eason's role has increased. In November, he's averaging 13.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 1.4 blocks in 25.5 minutes per contest.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Battles foul trouble in win
Thompson provided six points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one block over 17 minutes during Wednesday's 130-113 victory over the Pacers.
Thompson picked up three early fouls, limiting him to just 17 minutes. While this was a subpar performance, Thompson had been playing well up to this point. He continues to come off the bench but typically sees at least 25 minutes per night. Look for him to get back on track against the Trail Blazers on Friday.
