  • Mavericks' Naji Marshall: Reaches 20 points off bench in loss

Marshall accumulated 20 points (8-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-3 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes during Sunday's 123-118 overtime loss to the Heat.

Marshall provided Dallas with another spark off the bench Sunday, connecting on a team-high-tying mark from three and concluding as one of three Mavericks with 20 or more points. Marshall has surpassed the 20-point mark in three contests, including in two straight outings.

  • Mavericks' Dereck Lively: Sets season high in double-double

Lively finished Sunday's 123-118 overtime loss to the Heat with 14 points (7-9 FG), 13 rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 31 minutes.

Lively helped lock down the paint in Sunday's overtime contest, leading all Dallas players in rebounds to go along with a pair of blocks in a double-double showcase. Lively set a new season high in boards, hauling in at least 10 rebounds in four contests. Lively has now recorded three double-doubles this year, his first since Nov. 3.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Dazzles offensively in OT defeat

Irving accumulated 27 points (9-21 FG, 3-12 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six assists and four rebounds in 39 minutes during Sunday's 123-118 overtime loss to the Heat.

Irving led the way for Dallas on the offensive end of the floor Sunday, leading all Mavericks in scoring and assists while concluding three points shy of the 30-point mark. Irving connected on at least three threes for the ninth time of the year, now doing so in three of his last four outings. Irving has now tallied at least 25 points in six contests thus far.

  • Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Available Sunday

Gafford (shoulder) is listed as available to play in Sunday's game against the Heat.

Gafford will play through left shoulder soreness Sunday and has yet to miss a matchup this season. The big man has operated off the bench in his last five outings, during which he has averaged 13.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks while shooting 67.5 percent from the floor across 20.4 minutes per game.

  • Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Questionable to play Sunday

Gafford is questionable for Sunday's game against the Heat due to left shoulder soreness.

Gafford has been playing off the bench in recent games, as head coach Jason Kidd is testing to see how Dereck Lively performs in a starting role. However, Gafford has been posting solid numbers off the bench, scoring in double digits in his five appearances since the move and averaging 7.2 rebounds per game in that span. If he's out, then Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell would be in line to see more frontcourt minutes off the bench.

  • Mavericks' Quentin Grimes: Hits for 14 in Friday's start

Grimes amassed 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two steals across 29 minutes during Friday's 123-120 win over the Nuggets.

Getting another start in the Mavs' backcourt in place of Luka Doncic (hand), Grimes came through with solid numbers once again. The fourth-year guard has played more than 20 minutes in six straight games, starting three of them, while Doncic has dealt with a series of minor injuries, and over that stretch Grimes has averaged 10.3 points, 4.8 boards, 2.8 assists and 1.8 threes while shooting 51.2 percent from the floor and 45.8 percent (11-for-24) from beyond the arc.

  • Mavericks' P.J. Washington: Double-double in Friday's win

Washington provided 22 points (8-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and three steals over 36 minutes during Friday's 123-120 win over the Nuggets.

It's the second double-double in three games for Washington since he returned to the Dallas starting lineup. The 26-year-old forward missed five games earlier this month with a knee injury and delivered an unimpressive four-point, six-rebound effort Tuesday against the Pelicans, but he's at least been consistent on the defensive end. In those three starts, he's recorded four steals and three blocks.

  • Mavericks' Naji Marshall: Career-best night off bench

Marshall produced 26 points (11-15 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 26 minutes off the bench during Friday's 123-120 win over the Nuggets.

The 26 points were a career high for Marshall, topping the 24 he recorded a couple seasons ago for the Pelicans -- coincidentally, that performance came against the Mavericks, his current squad. The fifth-year forward is putting together an impressive November overall, scoring in double digits in seven of 10 games and averaging 14.2 points, 3.3 boards, 2.5 assists, 2.5 threes and 1.3 steals in 26.7 minutes a contest on the month.

  • Mavericks' Quentin Grimes: Promoted to starting role

Grimes is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Nuggets.

Grimes will move into a starting role with Luka Doncic (hand) sidelined. Grimes will slot into a shooting guard role while Kyrie Irving will be deployed as the floor general. Grimes is averaging 12.5 points per game in his previous two starts.

  • Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Suffers wrist injury

The Mavericks announced Thursday that an MRI revealed Doncic sustained a right wrist sprain in Tuesday's 132-91 win over Pelicans and will be re-evaluated in one week.

Doncic began feeling pain in his wrist during the first quarter of Tuesday's game, per Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com. While the superstar guard was able to finish out the contest and logged 30 minutes, his injury was apparently more serious than initially expected. With Doncic sidelined for at least a week, Kyrie Irving will likely see more time on the ball, Spencer Dinwiddie could re-enter the rotation, and Jaden Hardy and Quentin Grimes could both take on increased minutes.

  • Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Garbage-time appearance

Prosper ended Tuesday's 132-91 win over the Pelicans with three points (1-1 FG, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and one steal across four minutes.

Prosper was rolled out during garbage time, a trend that seems unlikely to change anytime soon. As a player who is not an everyday part of the rotation, Prosper is averaging just 1.8 points and 1.4 rebounds in 6.1 minutes per game. Barring multiple injuries to players ahead of him, there is no reason to think he will be used in a meaningful role this season.

  • Mavericks' Klay Thompson: Drains five triples in win

Thompson closed Tuesday's 132-91 victory over the Pelicans with 19 points (6-15 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two steals in 24 minutes.

Thompson found some much-needed rhythm on the offensive end, connecting on five three-pointers en route to 19 points. Although he remains one of the most proven perimeter scorers in the league, Thompson has struggled to find any consistency since arriving in Dallas. Across 15 games, he is averaging 14.0 points and 3.1 three-pointers per game, adding very little in terms of peripheral numbers.
