Coach Mike Budenholzer said Sunday that Beal (calf) went through practice and did quite a bit of scrimmaging ahead of Tuesday's game against the Lakers, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
Both Kevin Durant (calf) and Beal have been slowly working their way back to playing form, and both of the superstars are on track for a return to game action Tuesday. The 31-year-old guard has missed the club's last five games due to a left calf strain, though he has been actively participating in 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 action during recent practices. If Beal is unable to suit up against the Lakers, Ryan Dunn should draw another start.

Suns' Bradley Beal: On track for Tuesday return
Coach Mike Budenholzer said Friday that Beal (calf) was a full participant in practice, played 3-on-3 and will do 5-on-5 work Sunday with the hope he is ready for Tuesday's game against the Lakers, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
The Suns are off until Tuesday, giving the club time to work Beal back after a five-game absence due to a left calf strain. The veteran star's progression to 3-on-3 work bodes well for his potential return to game action, and if he can go through 5-on-5 action without any issues Sunday, he'll have a good shot at coming back Tuesday.

Durant (calf) was a full participant in Friday's practice, and the Suns hope to have him back for Tuesday's game versus the Lakers, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
Durant has missed Phoenix's last seven contests due to a left calf strain but appears to be nearing a return to action. Durant and Bradley Beal (calf) were full participants in 3-on-3 drills Friday afternoon and will do 5-on-5 work Sunday. If that goes well, both players should be in the Suns' starting lineup against the Lakers on Tuesday. An official injury report will be released Monday afternoon clarifying Durant's status against Los Angeles.

Nurkic held his own despite an enormous night from Karl-Anthony Towns in the paint. The Suns are relieved to have one of their impact players off the injury report after he joined Kevin Durant (calf) and Bradley Beal (calf) on the sidelines twice over the past week. Nurkic's 2024-25 campaign has been a mixed bag, as he's performing slightly below last season's averages in every major category. Field-goal percentage is the most glaring shortcoming, as his 40.4 percent conversion rate is the lowest of his career, and a full 11 percentage points behind his 2023-24 average.
